Flashy Visuals and Animations

If you've ever created a slideshow, you've probably considered transitions and other animations. Animations can be engaging for your users, but for certain ones with photosensitivity, these animations may trigger seizures. Be careful with

  • flickering lights (e.g. sunlight through trees)
  • flashes of color
  • rapid changes or alternations in color

You can test the seizure risk of your video content or animations as well as learn more about preventing seizures through the free application Photosensitive Epilepsy Analysis Tool (PEAT).
