Islander Fight Song and Alma Mater
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi traces its beginning back to 1947, when Ward Island became the home of the University of Corpus Christi with 312 students enrolled.

The start of your TAMU-CC adventure, at Anchor Camp, Islanders begin to find their "Anchor" to campus and feel at home on the Island before their first class even begins.

Bluesday Tuesday
Every Tuesday is Bluesday! Grab your Islander Blue and join the Student Government Association as we wear our Islander Spirit. Throw on your favorite Islander T-shirt, that outfit in the right royal or anything that shows your TAMU-CC Pride!

As a beloved university tradition, the celebration unique to the Island campus has united the community in the holiday spirit by celebrating the blue and green glow of the campus holiday lights and decorations.

Homecoming
Show your Blue and Green Pride during the yearly homecoming week celebration. Anchors Aweigh, Lighting of the “I” Spirit Rally, and the Homecoming Tailgate held downtown are just a few of the long-standing traditions. All of this is topped off with the grand finale Men’s and Women’s basketball games and naming of the Homecoming Court.

The Islander Ring
The Islander Ring symbolizes pride, achievement, and university spirit. Receiving your ring during the official Ring Celebration signifies that you are close to becoming a distinguished member of the Islander Alumni Association.

Islander Leis
As a celebratory and congratulatory gesture, the Islander Lei is a popular commencement tradition. With palm tree-lined pathways throughout the campus, natural wetlands, and a university beach, the Islander Lei represents the physical beauty of our Island University.
