The Texas A&M University Office of Open Records is dedicated to the principles of open government and strives to ensure compliance as set forth by the Texas Public Information Act.

Requests to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi under the Texas Public Information Act must be in writing, submitted by one of the methods listed below, and directed to the designated public information officer.

Public Information Requests

Public information requests are for accessing information under the Texas Public Information Act. An example of this type of request can include a request for a police report to submit to your insurance company.



Internal University Requests

Internal university requests are for accessing information from another department that would enable the individual to perform their job duties. Examples of internal requests are as follows 1) Police report of alleged assault that took place last week between a student and non-student 2) Investigating reports of student misconduct that was reported to UPD, student was caught with illegal drug possession while on campus 3) Need report of students engaged in abuse within sorority.
