Yes, the program can be completed 100% online.  In addition, students can take traditional face-to-face classes, as well as hybrid classes, which combine traditional and online learning.

Most students complete the program within two years, taking six hours per semester. It is possible to complete the program in less time if more hours are taken each semester.

Regular semester courses (Fall/Spring) are delivered in accelerated 7-week sessions.  Summer courses are delivered in 5-week sessions.  Research projects, thesis, internships, and professional field experiences are delivered in full 14-week sessions (10-weeks in Summer).

The non-thesis option involves a one-semester graduate research project (KINE 5397) and is selected by most students.  The thesis option (KINE 5698) is a two-semester research project that requires a thesis committee and a thesis defense.  The thesis option is designed for research projects that require greater time and/or depth and is often selected by students considering a future doctoral degree.
