Sunday Family Funday Art Workshops
FREE family art workshops & events for students in grades K-12 and their parents/guardians!
These FREE family art workshops offer activities for the whole family. Parents/guardians must stay while children complete the workshop.

Schedule:
- 1:00-2:00pm: Art for kids ages 5-15. Kids will do a different art activity each session with Ms Graycie Rhoades, exploring a variety of media and crafts.
- 1-2:30pm: Parent Painting. Monica Marie Garcia will lead parents in a new painting each session.
- 1:00-3:30pm: Ceramics for teens. Eugene Solis and Dr. Leonel Monsivais will lead students in ceramics projects. During this series, students will learn the art of using the potter's wheel and hand-building with ceramic clay.

Workshops take place at the Garcia Center, 2021 Agnes St.

- September 14: Cubism inspired by Pablo Picasso
- October 5: Form, practiced through 3D jellyfish art
- October 12: Line elements with spiderweb making
- November 2: Color: Dia de los Muertos paper sugar skulls
- November 9: Value: Indian corn sculptures
- December 7: Negative and positive space using leaves
- December 14: Texture: air dry clay mosaic ornaments
