Sugar Skull Workshops - Dia de los Muertos Art

Traditionally, the Garcia Center holds sugar skull decorating workshops for Dia de los Muertos.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the event originally scheduled for Oct. 23 has been postponed. Please follow us for updates on a new date.

Our sugar skull workshops let you decorate sugar skulls in memory of a loved one as a part of a tradition for Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead. Workshops are open to all ages.

Four skull sizes are available. Colors of the skulls vary, as we used different sugar colors to make the forms. You can choose from any colors that are available. We provide all of the decorating materials.

This workshop is popular! Skulls are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend you purchase in advance at the link above in advance to reserve your skulls. We often sell out before the event.
