A Pell-eligible student whose parent or guardian died in the line of duty while performing as a public safety officer is eligible to receive a maximum Pell Grant for the award year for which the determination of eligibility is made.

According to Texas Legislation students enrolled in 12th grade during the 2021-2022 school year, must complete a financial aid application or submit the necessary opt-out form in order to graduate. Our office wants to help through our state's Early Awareness Initiative.
