Transfer Islander Launch (orientation) is required for all incoming students and is designed for you to receive key information important to your success at TAMU-CC. You must be admitted for the upcoming semester and set up your Island ID to complete the program. 

In-person transfer event dates for 2022 are:

  • May 20 CLOSED
  • July 1 
  • Virtual: The virtual course is asynchronous, so there is not a specific day or time that you must log in to Blackboard. You will have access to the course portal within 24 hours of registering for Islander Launch, and your 91-Islander Launch Mandatory hold will be removed automatically after you score 100% on the final quiz. Students who cannot attend an in-person event can register for a virtual format option in the reservation portal.

To complete the reservation process for Islander Launch, students are required to: 

  1. Be admitted for an upcoming semester. Check the status of your application at the AppCheck website. 
  2. Claim your Island ID/password by following instructions for New User? at the MyIslandID website.
  3. Use your Island ID and password to access your Islander E-mail account.
  4. Reserve a seat for Islander Launch. The $85 program fee for students is non-refundable and will be added to your tuition bill, even if you decide not to attend TAMU-CC.
