IslandID Account

An IslandID and password are required to access most University resources.

  • Students receive their IslandID and password upon acceptance to the University.

  • Faculty and staff are issued credentials at the start of employment.

  • In some cases, departments may sponsor guests or affiliates to access University resources.

Access Expiration:

  • Faculty and staff lose access to their IslandID account, email, and Office suite on their separation date.

  • Students lose access one year (365 days) after their last date of attendance or registration.

Important: Your A-Number is separate from your IslandID. It is issued by the Registrar’s Office and used for resources such as S.A.I.L. You can retrieve your A-Number by logging into S.A.I.L. or by calling the Registrar’s Office at 361-825-2624.
