IslandID Account
An IslandID and password are required to access most University resources.

Students receive their IslandID and password upon acceptance to the University.

Faculty and staff are issued credentials at the start of employment.

In some cases, departments may sponsor guests or affiliates to access University resources.
Access Expiration:

Faculty and staff lose access to their IslandID account, email, and Office suite on their separation date.

Students lose access one year (365 days) after their last date of attendance or registration.
Important: Your A-Number is separate from your IslandID. It is issued by the Registrar’s Office and used for resources such as S.A.I.L. You can retrieve your A-Number by logging into S.A.I.L. or by calling the Registrar’s Office at 361-825-2624.
