Transfer Scholarships
Explore scholarship opportunities designed specifically for incoming transfer students. Be sure to submit your FAFSA annually by March 1 (for student attending in the Fall semester) to maximize aid.
Student Transfer Education Program (STEP) Scholarships
For incoming transfer students with 24 or more credit hours, your Apply Texas application will serve as the scholarship application for the STEP scholarship program. To be considered for the STEP Scholarship for Fall admission, your application and all official transcripts must be postmarked by March 1. For Spring or Summer transfer students, STEP Scholarship awards are granted based on the availability of funds.

The renewal of these scholarships will be based upon meeting the following requirements:
- Must complete a FAFSA annually by March 1st
- Must maintain a 3.0 overall GPA
- Must complete
- 12 credit hours each Fall/Spring
- 6 credit hours per Summer (if awarded)
- Have no break in enrollment or eligibility
- Valid for up to 4 semesters or until degree completion (whichever comes first)

Special Circumstances
Students unable to meet enrollment requirements due to academic program limits, graduation, disability accommodations, etc., may submit a Scholarship Enrollment Exception Form. Students applying for additional scholarships are encouraged to submit a FAFSA each academic year. Students who are unable to meet the enrollment requirements due to limits set by their academic program, graduation, course offerings, approved disability accommodations, or other circumstances beyond the student's control may submit a Scholarship Enrollment Exception Form for consideration.
