Incoming freshmen
To apply for the First Time in College Scholarship Program, you must meet the following requirements:

• 3.0 overall GPA
• 21 or higher on ACT
• 1100 or higher on SAT

Incoming Freshmen
For the Incoming Freshmen Program you must complete your admissions application on ApplyTexas, submit your transcript and ACT or SAT scores by February 1st (priority date October 1st).

Incoming Transfer
For the STEP A and B Transfer scholarships you must complete your admissions application and submit transcripts on ApplyTexas by March 1st

All Undergraduates
Complete the Scholarship Universe General Undergraduate and Major Specific applications by March 1st.

International Undergraduates
Complete the International Undergraduate Scholarship Application on Scholarship Universe by May 1st

International Graduates
Complete the International Graduate Scholarship Application on Scholarship Universe by June 10th. 

All Graduates
Complete the Scholarship Universe Graduate Endowed application by June 1st. - For additional scholarships College of Graduate Studies

No, PSA students are not eligible for Incoming Freshmen scholarships because these are 4-year awards. PSA admitted students can submit the General Undergraduate Scholarship application available from October 1- March 1.

Your first step in applying for scholarships should be applying for admission to the University. You will not be able to apply for scholarships unless you have been admitted and have created your Island ID.

Many of our Scholarship pages will have a green apply here button that you can click and it will take you to Scholarship Universe.  This is our scholarship portal.  The great thing about this portal is as you are answering questions to match you up with scholarships you are eligible for, it will also match you up with Private Scholarships you may qualify for as well.  We have a database of over 3 Million dollars in Private Scholarships that is linked to our portal.  You can also go to Scholarship Universe to access it directly.

You will be notified by e-mail if you are or are not selected to receive a scholarship. For this reason, it is very important that the correct e-mail addresses are submitted on your application. Please note that if you are not selected for an award you will be notified within two weeks after the 12^th day of class.

The TAMUCC Undergraduate Scholarship Application will be reopened if there are remaining funds to be awarded for the academic year.

Scholarship awards are made based on a student's overall scholarship application (e.g., test scores, class rank, essay, resume, leadership, etc.) and not just on a single criterion.

Scholarships are awarded for the full academic year and not for just one semester. For example, if you are awarded a $1,000 scholarship, you will receive $500 in the fall semester and $500 in the spring semester.

Some scholarships are awarded based on your current major. We ask that you please notify the Scholarship Office if you are a recipient of a major-specific scholarship and decide to change your major. If you have not been awarded a scholarship, but you have submitted your application, no action is required on your part.  The system automatically updates your scholarship application to reflect your new major.

Please go to Scholarship Universe to accept your award.  If a Thank You letter is required, you will submit it in Scholarship Universe as well.  You will find these notifications on your Scholarship Universe Dashboard under the Actions Required section.

Scholarship monies are automatically applied to your tuition bill.  Refunds are coordinated through the Business Office and processed through BankMobile Disbursements.  To learn more about BankMobile Disbursements, click How it Works or go to the Business Office Refund Webpage.

If you have a scholarship but find yourself not able to register for the required number of hours, please fill out the enrollment exception form at the link below. This will be forwarded to your scholarship committee for review.

If you have a scholarship but find yourself no longer eligible and have extenuating circumstances, please fill out the appeal form at the link below. This will be forwarded to your scholarship committee for review.  The deadline to submit an appeal is the fifth class day of the semester you are appealing for.
