Scholarships

Only undergraduate students who are officially declared Studio Art or Communication Design majors are eligible to apply for the annual Art & Design Department Scholarships. Historically, we have awarded over $20,000 in total each year. Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and be enrolled in at least 12 semester credit hours at the time of application. If you are renewing a scholarship, you must submit a new portfolio and application each year. 

When reviewing scholarship applications, departmental faculty evaluate whether a complete application has been submitted, confirm the student meets the minimum overall GPA requirement of 3.0, and assess the quality of the submitted materials. Additionally, attendance and class performance issues will be taken into consideration when determining scholarship awards.

Please note that the application opens around mid February and closes late March of each year.  The application is currently not open.

Additional Scholarships

Endowed Undergraduate Scholarships 

TAMU-CC has three main Endowed Scholarships cycles:

• Academic Year: Open October 1 – March 1
• Spring: Open August 15 – November 15
• Summer: Open February 15 – March 31

Graduate Studies or Endowed Scholarships

Graduate College Application Deadlines:

• Spring: November 1
• Summer: April 15
• Fall: June 1
