Students are recommended to meet with their Academic Advisor at least once a semester to verify they are on track with their degree plan and graduation. Other important times to meet with your advisor include:

• Second semester freshman will have a registration hold requiring they meet with their advisor for help with choosing a learning community and course schedule.
• New transfer students should meet with their advisor to discuss their transfer credits prior to registration.
• Seniors are required to meet with their advisor to complete a MGMT4388 authorization form, receive graduation clearance and discuss applying for graduation.
• Students should meet with their advisor to discuss their academic progress and campus resources, course pre-requisites and class offerings.
• Students should meet with their advisor to discuss business majors and minors, to change or add a business major or minor and to discuss degree requirements and degree audit with student.

• Make sure that you have no registration holds by viewing them via SAIL.
• Contact your advisor for authorization if you are trying to register and get a pre-requisite test score error and you believe you have met the course pre-requisites.
• Contact your advisor for authorization if you are trying to register for junior –level classes and are classified as a sophomore with 54+ hours.
• You are a senior trying to register for MGMT4388 and have not yet met with your advisor to complete the MGMT4388 authorization form.

It’s considered a course overload, if a student wants to take more than 18 hours in a fall or spring or more than 7 hours in a summer I or II session or if taking a maximum load along with a 2 week course in January, May or August.

1. Students would need to complete a Course Overload Request Form.
2. All business students must get course overloads approved by the Dean.
3. The student will then take the signed form to the Student Services Center to be processed enabling them to register for the overload.

Students are encouraged to speak with their professor(s) and Academic Advisor before dropping a course. Students can drop classes via SAIL at http://sail.tamucc.edu/ between the first day registration opens and the first day of classes for that term. Once classes start, students must drop a class in person in the Student Services Center (round building) by completing an official drop form by the posted deadline. A student withdrawing from all classes for a term, must complete a withdrawal form in the Student Services Center.

1. Go to sail.tamucc.edu
2. Click on Login to SAIL and log in
3. Click Student > Student records > Apply to Graduate
4. Select the appropriate term from the drop-down menu
5. Verify Degree Information -Click Continue
6. Agree to Terms –Check box and Click Continue
7. Apply to Graduate –pay now
8. Submit Credit Card information
