The mission of Risk Management Office at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) is to minimize the adverse effects of unpredictable event by identifying, evaluating, and controlling loss exposures faced by the University and communicates and promotes risk management strategies in compliance with federal, state and system regulatory compliance controls and processes.

Forms

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC), in conjunction with the Texas A&M University System Office of Risk Management and Safety, are committed to minimize risk and protect against  unpredictable loss by promoting safety awareness throughout campus. The reporting and insurance request forms are available online for campus use.

Liability of TAMU-CC

TAMU-CC does not carry general liability or accident/medical insurance for visitors, students and volunteers. The liability of TAMU-CC, a state agency is govern by the State of Texas for personal injury and/or property damage and is defined by the Texas Tort Claims Act, Section 101,021, Government Liability.

 

Origami Portal

TAMUS Risk Management and Safety Office is using Origami Portal to electronically report an incident (e.g., injury, illness, damage, or theft) or add new assets (e.g. boats, fine art, or inland marine) to the inventory database.

To report Injury or Illness, go to https://hr.tamucc.edu/time-leave/workers-comp.html

TO ADD A NEW ASSET TO THE INVENTORY DATABASE:

  • Click on ORIGAMI
  • Click on "Submit a New Asset"
  • Select Asset Type.
  • Follow instructions to complete the form.
  • Leave Submission Status on “Ready for Member Review”
  • Click the “Save changes” button at the top right of this form to submit New Asset to Administrative Services Office and TAMUS Risk Management Office.

TO REPORT A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT:

  • Click on ORIGAMI
  • Click on "Submit a New Incident"
  • Click on New Incident(s)
  • Follow instructions to complete the form.
  • Select all that apply to the incident.  A drop-down form will appear after you click NEXT to complete the accident report.
  • Click the “Save changes” button at the top right of the form to submit
  • Submission of the Accident Report will trigger Employer’s First Injury or Illness report to Human Resources and the Accident Report to TAMU-CC Administrative Services Office and TAMUS Risk Management Office.
