Performing Arts Center

Welcome to the Performing Arts Center!

In April of 2005, the stunning Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi opened to great acclaim, with a gala opening performance by GRAMMY winning Tejano legend, Freddy Fender. Since then, the PAC has hosted artists such as pianist Van Cliburn, violinists Itzhak Perlman and Joshua Bell, Mezzo Soprano Frederica von Stade, Las Cafeteras, Step Afrika and many others.

Now in our 16th year we are proud to continue our tradition of presenting the finest performers as part of the Robert and Gloria R. Furgason Bravo! Series for the Performing Arts. The Performing Arts Center provides a world-class performance venue for University music students and music festivals, middle and high school bands, choirs, and orchestras and local non-profit performing arts organizations. In addition, the PAC is the principal performance venue for the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra and Corpus Christi Chorale.

Overlooking beautiful Corpus Christi Bay, the PAC serves the University faculty, staff, and students and the entire Coastal Bend community as well as providing an annual grant program for area non-profit performing groups to use the PAC at a reduced rental rate.

With state of the art acoustics, the concert hall has pushed Corpus Christi to the forefront of cultural arts and entertainment in South Texas.  With seating for 1350 patrons, a striking 50-foot glass-walled lobby that faces Ocean Drive offering a beautiful 360-degree view of the Corpus Christi bay and the downtown skyline, the PAC is the concert hall for all of the Coastal Bend.

The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Performing Arts Center, engages the University and South Texas communities in celebrating the power of the arts to transform, educate and inspire its citizens. Life-long learning and building a creative bridge between the University and Corpus Christi are at the heart of the PAC's mission.
