📅 Wednesday, November 19, 2025 | 7:30 p.m.
Twincussion, the identical twin percussionists Jen-Ting and Jen-Yu Chien, are reshaping the soundscape of global percussion with a unique blend of Taiwanese folk traditions and inventive interpretations of Western classical music. Their performances fuse marimbas, wind chimes, Chinese opera gongs, and electronics into a seamless tapestry of rhythm and melody, bridging Eastern and Western traditions with stunning artistry.
Their international acclaim began with top honors at the 2014 Southern California International Marimba Competition and the 2016 International Percussion Competition in Italy. Since their 2018 Carnegie Hall debut, they’ve toured extensively across the United States, Europe, and Asia. In 2023, as Center Stage Season 6 Artists, they performed at the Kennedy Center and premiered Flamboyer with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, also earning Best Arrangement at Taiwan’s Golden Music Awards.
On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Twincussion will bring their electrifying artistry to the stage of the Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi Performing Arts Center, offering audiences a rhythmic voyage that connects islands, cultures, and hearts.
Jen-Ting and Jen-Yu each hold the Advanced Postgraduate (Soloist) Diploma from the Royal Danish Academy of Music and are currently artists for Yamaha and Innovative Percussion. Their precision, passion, and world-spanning repertoire make this performance as thrilling as it is unforgettable.
