Navigate for Students

Incoming first-year (FTIC) students typically receive Navigate access after completing Islander Launch (New Student Orientation).

All other new or admitted students receive access 24 to 48 hours after registering for classes.

Access depends on system processing timelines, so there may be a short delay after these requirements are met.

If you believe you should have access but cannot log in after this timeframe, contact Navigate Support at navigate@tamucc.edu.

If you meet the registration requirements for Navigate access (currently enrolled, enrolled for a future term, or last enrolled within the past 365 days) but cannot log in, contact the TAMUCC IT Service Desk for assistance with credentials or access issues.

Student support resources in Navigate Student are available in several locations:

• Resources Directory – Access tutoring, financial aid, and other academic and student support services
• People Page – View contact information for assigned advisors and campus support staff
• Student Success Network – Search for and connect with advisors and support teams across campus
• Student Home – Schedule appointments, view class information, and send messages to support staff

These tools provide centralized access to academic and campus support services to help students stay connected and supported.

Log in to Navigate using your student account. Then follow these steps:

1. Choose what you need help with (such as advising or tutoring)
2. Select a date and click Find Available Times
3. Pick an available time that works for you
4. Review your appointment details and add a note if needed
5. Click Schedule to confirm

You will see a confirmation message once your appointment is scheduled. You can view or manage your appointment anytime in Navigate.

Yes. When students reach the availability screen in the student scheduler, they will see a View Drop-In Times option in the bottom left-hand corner. This allows students to view drop-in availability or select Drop-In Online, if the staff member offers drop-in availability or virtual appointment options.

Notifications are messages sent through Navigate to keep you informed about important tasks, deadlines, and student success updates.

They are delivered to your Islander email address or to your mobile device via text messages or push notifications. To receive text messages or push notifications, you must opt-in to these notification types. Email notifications are sent to your Islander email address and cannot be disabled.

You can manage your notification preferences in Settings > Notification Settings in Navigate.
