I-Know Overview

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requires its institutions create a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) as part of the reaffirmation process. The development of a QEP demonstrates TAMU-CC’s commitment to enhance its quality and effectiveness by focusing on key issues impacting student learning and support.

In 2019, TAMU-CC developed the I-Know Digital Information Literacy QEP (I-Know). I-Know defines Digital Information Literacy (DIL) as the ability to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information effectively and responsibly, using the appropriate technology. I-Know teaches students DIL skills, while preparing them to navigate the future of digital information.

I-Know lives within the Mary and Jeff Bell Library. Although centered in the library, this program is a campus-wide initiative. This plan lays out an intentional, scaffolded integration of DIL into the TAMU-CC curriculum. The I-Know team partners with departments across campus to bring the plan to life.

This page explains the goals and expected outcomes of the plan.
