Spanish

The Spanish program at TAMU-CC offers courses in Spanish language, linguistics, literature, translation, and interpreting. The main focus of the program is to develop the student's language proficiency, literary and cultural competencies, and translation skills demanded by many professional fields. 
To accomplish these goals, the Spanish curriculum includes language courses, as well as courses in Hispanic Linguistics, Spanish and Spanish-American Literatures and Civilizations, and Spanish translation and interpreting.

These courses are provided to those seeking a They can also be taken for Bilingual Education enrichment, to fulfill the foreign language requirement and the Core Curriculum requirement in literature, or as general electives.
