Judging the Regional Fair
We need STEM-focused university students, professionals, teachers and parents to serve as judges for the virtual fair. Parents and teachers can serve as judges outside of the division in which their children/students are competing.
Each participating school and/or district should assist in identifying and recruiting qualified judges.
Register as a grade K-5 judge
What are a judge's responsibilities?
- Be electronically available for a 3-4 hour time slot between 8am and 5pm. Most judges will be needed on Saturday, April 23; however, some judges may be needed on Friday, April 22.
- Attend a 1-hour online judges training at the beginning of the judging session.
- Have dependable internet connectivity and a reliable computer device for viewing projects and conferring with judges.
- Wear business casual attire when virtually interacting with student participants.
- Collaborate with other judges, score projects, and assign awards.

K-5 judge benefits & qualifications
- K-5 judges must have completed at least some college.
- Preferred qualifications are majors/careers in education or STEM fields.
- All judges will receive a t-shirt and certificate of 3 continuing education credits.
