Remaining in good standing with SSS-Teacher Prep is essential to being eligible for certain services, such as calculator/laptop loaning or SSS-Teacher Prep Grant Aid funding. All students are expected to maintain active standing with the program by meeting the following two criteria:
Each student is assigned to an SSS-Teacher Prep staff member who they will meet with regularly to work towards their academic, financial, and career goals.
At minimum, students are expected to meet with their staff member once a month. Meetings can be held in person, online via Zoom, over the phone, or via email.
Workshops are held throughout ongoing semesters covering a wide range of topics related to academic skills, financial literacy, careers, cultural events, self-care/wellness, and more.
At minimum, students are expected to attend 2 workshops per semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Workshops can be held in person, virtually, and as recorded videos available to students.
