About the TAMUS LSAMP Symposium

The TAMUS LSAMP Symposium provides training on leadership, effective research presentation skills, and the power of collaboration and networking with peers and faculty. In addition, evaluation of research posters takes place, which provides the opportunity for participants to have their research assessed by both alliance-wide faculty and peers. The Symposium also provides opportunities for professional development. The objective of the symposium is to provide UGR (Under Graduate Research) and BTD (Bridge to the Doctorate) students with information on graduate school, including how to get there and what to do when you enter a graduate program. The UGR  and BTD students also receive the opportunity to present their research in a clear and concise way to a group of their peers and faculty members. Additionally, the symposium serves as a networking opportunity to both the UGR and BTD students, as there are numerous professors and faculty members in attendance.
