Presentation Categories and Guidance
Presentation Categories and Guidance
The following list of presentation categories was determined by a committee with representation from all colleges. If you are unsure of the appropriate presentation type for your discipline, please consult with your faculty mentor.
The content of a presentation will vary by discipline. Please consult with your mentor regarding the creation and content of your presentation.
Presentations may be proposals, pilot studies, preliminary results, or completed projects.
Note: Students may only present once unless a special exception is made.
Abstracts and Artist's Statements Guidance
All students that are presenting at the Symposium are required to submit either an abstract or artist’s statement. An abstract is a paragraph describing the purpose and results of your project, while an artist’s statement is a piece of writing that helps the audience understand your work.
If you have any questions about which you need to choose, please consult with your mentor.
Abstracts and artist’s statements are due by Friday, March 20, 2026 via Judgify.
