All Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi students are eligible to participate.

The 2026 Symposium for Student Innovation, Research, and Creative Activities is free for all participants thanks to the generous support of the Division of Research and Innovation.

The presentation categories are:

• Poster Presentation
• Exhibition/Gallery display
• Oral Presentation
• Live performance or reading

Poster: A 4-foot-tall x 3-foot-wide display hung horizontally.

Templates: Poster templates available here.

Note: Students are not required to use the provided templates. They are encouraged to consult with their mentors on poster design.

Students may print one (1) poster free of charge through SSIRCA before Thursday, April 23. Any additional prints or reprints (including corrections) will not be covered by SSIRCA and will be the responsibility of the student.

SSIRCA provides two options for poster printing:

1. Gloria Furgason I-Create Makerspace | I-Create Lab
   • Submit Here: I-Create Lab
   • Payment: Select IDT 
   • Poster Pick-Up: Posters can be picked up on the day of printing by the student at the I-Create Lab.
   • Format: I-Create Poster Resizing Instructions (PDF)
2. University Print Services
   • Submit Here: University Print Services
   • Payment: Indicate SSIRCA
   • Poster Pick-Up: Posters will be available for pick-up at the SandDollar$ Office. Printing Services will email students with pick-up details. Students will need their SandDollar$ ID for verification. Pick-up times are Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
   • Format: Posters need to be in PDF format, with flattened images (to avoid font issues) and correct sizing (48” x 36”).

Students are encouraged to seek guidance from their mentors regarding appropriate attire for a conference presentation in your field of study, which can vary widely.

Yes, the Symposium for Student Innovation, Research, and Creative Activities is held annually.

We would recommend you contact a professor in your department/college in an area of innovation, research, scholarship, and creative activities that you are interested in so that you may be able to get involved and present.
