How to Get Involved in Research

This session will help interested students navigate through the steps of getting involved in research. From further defining your research and creative interests, to approaching potential mentors, this session will prepare you for embarking on new opportunities!

Conference Presentations - Tips and Tricks

Presenting at conferences can be stressful! This session will provide opportunities for every student interested to practice their presentation, either oral or poster format, and receive insightful and useful feedback on how to improve their presentation skills. Sign-up times will be provided to interested students.

Health Sciences and Technology Research Symposium

Date: October 28, 2023
Location: University Center

The inaugural Health Sciences and Technology Research Symposium will be held on the campus of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi on October 28, 2023. This symposium will provide opportunities for students to learn about new technologies and approaches to health sciences from leading experts. Resume/CV Workshop

Date and Time: November 1, 2023, 10 am - 11 am                                                                  Location: University Center Islander Room 316                                                                              Presenter: Ms. Sarah Pons, Writing Center Coordinator

Presented by the TAMU-CC Writing Center experts, this session will help students to create a resume or CV. Students are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet to receive feedback.

Research Compliance: IRB/IBC/IACUC

Students wanting to conduct research using animals, biological materials, or interacting with humans must receive training prior to embarking on their projects. This session will help students to learn how to safely conduct research, from beginning and submitting your application requesting to conduct the work to the closing of a project. All students are invited; students wishing to begin human subjects research in the spring are especially encouraged to attend.
