Pre-Award Administration
The mission of the pre-award administration area within the Division of Research and Innovation (R&I) is to provide high-level support to principal investigators and their staff with regard to the development, institutional review and submission of extramural proposals. Other responsibilities of pre-award administration include: negotiating and accepting awards on behalf of the University; drafting, negotiating and executing subcontracts; ensuring institutional compliance with Federal and State regulations, sponsor policy and University rules; representing the campus while interacting with sponsors; coordinating pre-award and post-award actions that require either campus or sponsor prior approval; and troubleshooting problems related to the administration of sponsored projects.
