Dr. Daniel Bartholomay and Ms. Anna Haga Selected for Faculty in Residence Program
Dr. Daniel Bartholomay, Assistant Professor of Sociology, and Ms. Anna Haga, Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing, have been selected to participate in the third year of the Faculty in Residence (FIR) Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Sponsored by Academic Affairs, Student Engagement and Success, Islander Housing, and the Center for Faculty Excellence, the program offers a unique opportunity for Islander faculty and administrators to reside in campus housing units and interact with students outside of the classroom experience. As Faculty in Residence during Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters, Dr. Bartholomay and Ms. Haga will collaborate with Residence Life staff to provide programmatic initiatives, act as role models, refer residents to student success and support avenues as needed, and encourage students to take advantage of opportunities and events.
Dr. Bartholomay noted, “My goal is to guide students in nurturing their own communities, discovering their sense of purpose, and contributing to a dynamic environment where active participation and meaningful personal connections thrive.”
Ms. Haga expressed, “I have a genuine interest in encouraging students, listening to them, and mentoring them. I hope to instill self-care techniques and promote teamwork.”
