Equipment Check Out

Items such as blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, otoscopes, and other equipment may be checked out for two weeks at a time from the SCLC. Please fill out the Check-out Form and bring with you to the lab.

Scheduling Requests

Students needing to schedule time in the lab for skills practice, remediation, or group work may do so by:

• Fill out the  Student Scheduling Request Form
• Email completed form to sclc.scheduling@tamucc.edu
• A confirmation email will be sent once request is reviewed and approved.

CPR Certification for Students

The CONHS is a Training Site for the American Heart Association. The SCLC conducts AHA BLS certification courses for all first semester nursing students and recertification courses.

• Step 1: Purchase and complete the online AHA HeartCode BLS course. 
• Step 2: Purchase and complete a hands-on-session in the SCLC. Cost is $30 and can be purchased at: TAMUCC Market Place

N95 Respirator Fit Testing

The SCLC conducts qualitative N95 respirator fit testing for all students as required by our clinical partners. Appointments are scheduled through clinical courses.         

• Fill out and print the OSHA Respirator Medical Evaluation Questionnaire 
• Fill out the top line then print the N95 Fit Testing Form
• Bring both forms to scheduled appointment

Faculty Scheduling Requests

Faculty requesting to schedule the use of simulation lab or computer lab space may do so by:

• Filling out the Faculty Scheduling Request form.
• Email completed form to sclc.scheduling@tamucc.edu.

Thank you for your interest in the Simulation and Clinical Learning Center. To request a tour of the center or the possibility of scheduling an educational event, please fill out a Tour or Event Request Form.  One of our staff will be in contact as soon as possible to discuss options with you. Requests for tours and events should be submitted at least three months in advance of requested dates. Availability of space is dependent on the scheduling of learning activities for our students as they are our first priority.
