Jonathon Lopez serves as a UAS Avionics Technician II for the Lone Star Unmanned Aerial Systems Center of Excellence and Innovation (LSUASC) in Corpus Christi, Texas. Jonathon is a member of the Maintenance and Logistics team where his tasks involve the upkeep of UAS systems and assisting in the logistical planning of equipment and supplies for missions.

Prior to joining the LSUASC team, Jonathon served 14 Years in the United States Army - Aviation. He performed duties as an Avionics/Electrical mechanic on CH-47 Chinook and UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopters. He has fulfilled roles in quality control, Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART), small group leadership, maintenance management, rapid response mobilization and deployment.

After leaving the Army, Jonathon worked as a CH-47 Avionics Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Boeing. At this position, he was tasked with compiling information together for lesson plans/instructions on functions of newly purchased or upgraded CH-47 platforms to numerous entities around the globe. Also, Jonathon has depot level maintenance experience; earning that experience while employed with the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), where he worked as an Electric Integrated Systems Mechanic. During his time with CCAD, he specialized in wire harness repair and installs, avionics/electrical component installation and operational checks.

Jonathon received his Avionics/Electrical Certification at the United States Army Aviation and Logistics School (USAALS).
