Windward Review is an annually published, print & digital creative journal showcasing narratives unique to the South Texas Coastal Bend and the border region. We publish bold and memorable works from new, emerging, and nationally and internationally recognized writers. We invite risk-takers, traditionalists, community writers, academics, and undergraduates to send us their best work. We look for originally-crafted poetry and prose that expands and redefines human truths found in our region and in borderland regions around the world. We also look for art that is memorable enough to speak for itself. We especially invite submissions from those who can speak to any of the many dynamic borderland experiences, including bilingual work and translations. We are very excited to publish plays and screenplays this year, as well.
