Pillar 4: Collaborate

We will work together across all divisions in order to provide a progressively more accessible environment through governance and policy.

Provost Initiative

The Provosts across The Texas A&M University System gathered teams to attend the Chancellor’s Symposium on Accessibility in June 2019. These teams are helping survey the progress and challenges facing each institution and come up with initiatives to bring back and discuss. TAMU-CC’s team will assist in reporting and providing ideas to TAMU-CC, across all appropriate councils, committees, and other groups as appropriate until the initiative is complete.

Digital Accessibility Advisory Group

The Electronic and Information Resources Accessibility (EIRA) Committee was dissolved in 2023. Members of that group are considered advisors to the Digital Accessibility Officer (DAO) due to their expertise and location within the organizational structure.

Advisors to the DAO will come from across the university in order to address digital accessibility in  areas affected:

  • IT
  • Digital Learning and Academic Innovation
  • Procurement
  • Contract Administration
  • Disability Services
  • Employee Development and Compliance Services
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Faculty representative
  • Student representative
