Network and Organization

There are many opportunities for employees at A&M-CC to network and connect with each other as well as the broader community. There are professional organizations, social clubs, and community organizations that welcome your participation.

Staff Council 

Staff Council is comprised of individuals representing all areas of staff, serving on committees, and planning events that contribute to the staff community.  Staff Council, through its elected representatives, shall advise, consult with, and make recommendations to the administrative officers of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Faculty Senate

By virtue of its constitution, the Faculty Senate is an advising and recommending body that serves to represent faculty in the governance of the university. The Senate's functions include policy (establishment of new policies, changes in existing policies, and interpretation of policy), advisory, reporting, and acting as a forum for discussion and debate of any issue vital to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Center for Faculty Excellence

The Center for Faculty Excellence promotes a community for professional growth and development to create a student-centered learning and research environment through collaboration and innovation.  The Center provides professional development opportunities primarily in the area of teaching and learning, but also in research and service, when appropriate.

Committees and Councils

Advising a Student Organization

As a full-time employee of Texas A&M University, you are now eligible to be an advisor for a student organization. If you have a hobby, special interest, or talent, there is a student organization looking for YOU! Training is free for this unique professional development opportunity. Corpus Christi Organizations

There are also many organizations that offer membership to the broader community of Corpus Christi.  You can find professional, social, political, and service organizations, among others within the City of Corpus Christi.
