Employee Betterment Program

The Employee Betterment Program will cover 100%(*) of current resident tuition costs for up to 18 credit hours per fiscal year at TAMUCC. This program is available to employees who have been in a budgeted regular status for three months prior to the start of classes. Standard fees are waived; consequently, EBP participants will not have access to student services funded by the waived fees. The purpose of the Employee Betterment Program (EBP) is to provide budget, and regular employees with funds to cover TAMUCC tuition costs. The program aims to encourage faculty and staff to further their education.

   (*) 50% for budgeted regular part-time status

TAMUS Doctoral Tuition Program

The TAMUS Doctoral Tuition Program will cover 100% of tuition costs for a doctoral program at any A&M System university. The program is limited to regular employees who are admitted to a doctoral program, are in good standing, and making progress toward degree completion.

Dorothy Yeater Scholarship

Dorothy Yeater was a valued staff member who worked at the Campus Store and left great memories of kindness and laughter.  To honor her memory, the Staff Council created the Dorothy Yeater Memorial Scholarship Fund.  The Staff Council offers this scholarship to support the academic achievement of staff members and the overall mission and goals of the University. A select number of full-time, benefits-eligible staff members will receive a SandDollar credit to be used at the Campus Store.  The Scholarship selection is made by the Dorothy Yeater Memorial Scholarship Selection Committee. Loan Forgiveness

If you are employed by a government or not-for-profit organization, you may be able to receive loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.

Important Limited PSLF Waiver Opportunity
The U.S. Department of Education announced a temporary period during which borrowers may receive credit for payments that previously did not qualify for PSLF or TEPSLF. Learn more about this limited PSLF waiver opportunity open for application until 10/31/2022.

Children of Nursing Faculty and Staff

Exemption Program for Children of Professional Nursing Program Faculty and Staff provides an exemption of tuition to eligible students.  This may encourage their parents to continue employment as professional nurse faculty or staff members in the State of Texas. In-State Tuition

Faculty and dependents of faculty employees may request in-state tuition under Education Code, Title 3.  The Request for In-State Tuition Form should be completed by the TAMU-CC student and emailed to employment@tamucc.edu.
