Parcel Lockers FAQs

You will receive an email from Mail Services, informing you that you either have a package that you need to pick up at the service window or has been placed on the lockers.

If we have placed your parcel in a locker, you will receive an automated email from TAMUCC Mail Services with a code and barcode to retrieve your packages.

The code will be active for 48-hours; you can use the Southeast entrance, closest to the baseball fields, to access the hallway at any time. If you fail to retrieve your package within 48-hours, you will need to retrieve it from the service window at SandDollar Services.

Non-perishable items will be held for 14-days, and if unretrieved, they will be sent back to the sender. Perishable items will be held for 3-days. If unretrieved, they will be sent back to the sender or discarded if they are from a sender that does not accept returns. TAMU-CC SandDollar Services will not be held responsible for items returned or discarded.

Lockers can be accessed through the SandDollar Services Southeast entrance 24/7. Using your code, you can retrieve your packages anytime.

No, oversized packages and perishable items will not be placed in a locker. You need to pick up these items at the  package service side window.  In the instances that we have a large mail delivery and locker space is limited you might have to pickup your items at the SandDollar Services’ service window. The email you receive will state whether you need to pickup your package at the lockers or at the service window.

Please bring the package back to SandDollar Services during our hours of operation at your earliest convenience and inform the clerk about the situation. Though these mistakes rarely happen, you would want whoever got your package by mistake to respect your privacy and return it as soon as possible. Knowingly keeping the wrong package could lead to disciplinary action.

When your package is ready for pickup you will receive an email from Mail Services. Some packages might show delivered, but it does not mean that they have been delivered at our location. It means that they have arrived at courier’s local depot. Usually, packages are delivered within 24 hours after they arrive at the local depot.

If you are unable to pick up a package, you can assign a proxy to pick up the item by forwarding your notification to sanddollar@tamucc.edu with the name and Islander email for your proxy. 

The proxy must be an active University affiliate with a valid University ID. Proxies not affiliated with the University will not be accepted unless a written exception has been provided by a University Services approved staff member and require up to 72 hours for approval.

It depends on the timing, we might consolidate multiples packages into one locker. If this happens you will receive one email. If packages are processed that different times you will receive multiples emails and will be placed on multiple lockers. Notifications are sent when packages are ready for pickup.

You can come to pickup packages that have been placed on lockers any day. However, SandDollar Services only receives packages from couriers Monday through Friday.

Any packages received for a student that no longer lives on campus will be returned to sender.
