The majority of Islander Family Weekend activities are free! A few activities have a cost to participate. Check out the schedule to learn more!
We invite all of our Islander family to attend including parents, siblings, extended, and chosen family.
Yes! We strongly encourage that you pre-register! Events will fill up fast and t-shirts are only available during Early Bird registration.
Some of the Islander Family Weekend events have limited seating and capacity. If the event you want is not listed in the registration process, it means the event is already full for this year.
Limited onsite registration will be available. Be advised that some events have limited seating, and may not be available for onsite registration. T-Shirts are not guaranteed for onsite registrations.
If you have already registered and need to add someone to your registration, please email familyweekend@tamucc.edu and a member of our team will be happy to modify your registration for you. You will need to supply your student's name and A# that your family is registered under, the name of the additional group member, and confirmation of paying the additional registration fee for each person added. Payment can be made for additional members of your family by clicking here
You will receive your Family Weekend package at check-in. It will include a schedule of events, a t-shirt (for those who pre-purchased during early bird registration), and other helpful information.
All facilities on the campus of A&M-Corpus Christi are ADA compliant. If you require additional ADA assistance while on campus, please send an email to familyweekend@tamucc.edu with a request for the disability related accommodations that are needed and for whom they are for so that we can arrange accordingly.
On Friday, October 4, free parking is available in the Jellyfish, Turtle Cove, and Seahorse lots. Click here to download a printable map of available parking lots. Parking is free on-campus all day Saturday and Sunday.
Friday check-in will be held at the University Center Anchor Ballroom.
Corpus Christi offers a wide variety of nationally branded lodging options as well as non-traditional lodging. Please visit our Travel and Lodging section to learn more about these options, proximity to University activities and other information.
Like your student. Wear blue to show your Islander pride! Wear comfortable shoes so you’re prepared for lots of walking. The Island can be hot in October, so bring a refillable water bottle. Be prepared for all weather.
The use of tobacco products, smoking, and/or simulated smoking material (e.g. e-cigarettes) is prohibited, except in designated areas, in and on all university properties, residence facilities, university vehicles, and athletic events.
Islander Family Weekend takes place rain or shine. Feel free to bring an umbrella. Some of the events making up the weekend may change locations or time due to weather concerns. In some cases, individual events during the weekend may have to be canceled.
Pets are not allowed inside any campus buildings. We ask that you not bring pets to campus if you plan to attend any indoor activity. ADA service dogs are permitted as long as the dog is required because of a disability and has been trained to perform a specific task for an individual related to that disability.
All Islander Family Weekend purchases are non-refundable. Unfortunately, with the heavy volume that encompasses Family Weekend and the number of events that are planned based on the number of registrations purchased, all registrations are non-refundable.
Due to the nature of event planning and coordination, refunds will not be offered, in full or in part, due to weather.
