ArtWalk is a free event in Downtown Corpus Christi that has become a “must-do” activity for residents and tourists alike. Artists, musicians, and all things creative converge throughout downtown on the first Friday of every month. You’ll find over 75 arts/crafts vendors and local food trucks posted up in Artesian Park, displaying the artistic ingenuity of the Coastal Bend’s creative community. Features: - Art exhibits - Live Music - Food Trucks - Craft Beer - Family-friendly - Accessible for persons with disabilities.

Join the fun at the ArtWalk Block Parties from 6:00-10:00 PM on Peoples Street, Lomax Street, and in La Retama Park.

Bailando is an international dance festival featuring evening dance concerts and master classes in a variety of dance styles, all held at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. Bailando has provided the South Texas community with culturally diverse works of dance performed by companies and individuals from areas throughout North and Central America! $12 students $10

The United States Army ROTC Islander Battalion is hosting a climbing wall with the Army National Guard. Negotiating obstacles, trusting equipment, and overcoming fear is essential for Officers in the Army. Cadets build their confidence by conquering these types of challenges as they prepare for the United States Army Cadet Command Summer Training (CST) assessment between their junior and senior year.

Tidal Hall supports many of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s fastest growing programs with hands-on research opportunities within the College of Science, such as biology, biomedical sciences and marine biology. The new addition further enhances the Island University’s recent achievement of “R2 Doctoral University – High Research Activity” classification by Carnegie Commission of Higher Education. Within the 111,000 square feet of panoramic glass windows, Tidal Hall houses nine instructional labs, 34 research labs (including 43 support rooms), dedicated workspace for master, and doctoral students, and faculty offices.

Come tour and experience two research facilities and meet with students and faculty to learn about cutting edge research conducted at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. We will showcase a low-speed wind tunnel in which bridge designs similar to the one used for Corpus Christi´s Harbor Bridge are being tested for their responses to aerodynamic loads, with the purpose of optimizing the bridge shape to withstand aerodynamics forces with a minimal weight and construction cost.  In addition, we will visit the Collaborative Robots and Agents Lab (CORAL) which is dedicated to the exploration of solutions by implementing mechatronic systems of Unmanned Aerial Systems or drones for the benefit of our community.
