Mission
Entrepreneurship Education in the College of Business at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi prepares students for success in small business, family-owned businesses, or new entrepreneurial ventures. The initiative facilitates student engagement opportunities in the Coastal Bend and in the Brazos Valley regions of Texas to develop entrepreneurial experience among students through real-world applications.
Objectives
- Involve College of Business students in small business and not-for-profit experiential activities.
- Collaborate with other universities and entities in Texas to promote entrepreneurship education opportunities for students.
- Identify and facilitate faculty participation in the delivery of business services to assist startup businesses, not-for-profit enterprises, community leaders, and existing small business owners.
Entrepreneurship & Innovation Certificate
Knowing how to integrate innovation into a student’s chosen profession is crucial for creating thriving communities and careers. The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Certificate Program will teach the essential skills and effective strategies for enhancing working experiences and for starting new opportunities. In classes designed to engage and inspire idea generation, students will learn how to solve problems, seize opportunities, and move from idealized dreams to tangible ventures.
