Frequently Asked Questions

Freshman Applicants: Students who have earned fewer than 24 transferable credit hours after high school graduation should apply as freshmen.

Transfer Applicants: Students with 24 or more transferable credit hours after high school graduation and a minimum 2.0 GPA should apply as transfers.

While admissions cannot substitute for an academic advisor, basic information may be found on the Transferring Coursework page. 

In essence, public institutions in Texas share a common core curriculum, which is applicable to most degree plans. 

While your credits may transfer, they may not all be applicable to your intended area of study at TAMU-CC. Familiarize yourself with your intended degree plan and discuss your questions with an academic advisor. 

You can submit your official transcripts in 2 ways:   

Electronic: Official transcripts can be sent electronically using Naviance, TREx, or Parchment to admiss@tamucc.edu. We will not accept emailed PDF transcripts.  

Postage: Official transcripts can be mailed in a sealed (unopened) envelope from your previous institution(s) to the address below:

Admitted students are able to log in to DegreeWorks to check on their unfulfilled degree requirements.
