International Transfer Admission

English Proficiency Requirements: 

If an applicant’s native language is not English, student will be required to submit proof of English proficiency. If the applicant is a citizen of one of the following countries, the applicant will be exempt from the English proficiency requirement for admission and considered English language proficiency verified:

English proficiency can also be demonstrated by submitting a:

• Minimum TOEFL IBT score of 73 or,
• Minimum TOEFL Paper-Based score of 537 or
• Minimum TOEFL CBT score of 205 or
• Minimum SAT Evidence Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) score of 550 (undergraduates) or
• Minimum ACT English score of 21 (undergraduates) or
• Minimum PTE Academic score of 53
• Minimum IELTS Academic test score of 6.0 overall band for both undergraduate and graduate students (TAMUCC does not accept the IELTS General test) or
• Minimum ITEP score between 3.5 - 3.9 for graduate students or
• Duolingo English Test and English3: TAMU-CC is temporarily accepting both the Duolingo English Test and English3 online assessments from applicants where TOEFL and IELTS exams are impacted due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. Applicants from affected countries may submit Duolingo English Test scores of 100 (105 on Duolingo English3) to satisfy English proficiency requirements for spring 2023, summer 2023, and fall 2023 admission only.
• Completing all four years in a high school within the U.S. and obtaining a subsequent U.S. high school degree (undergraduates)
• Cambridge Cl Advanced Proficiency Test (Cambridge CAE) of 175 or
• Cambridge C2 Proficiency Test (Cambridge CPE) of 180
• The applicant provides other compelling evidence of English proficiency to the Office of Recruitment and Admissions.

2.5 GPA + 24 transferable credits fo college work + Passing English Proficiency test scores.

The international student application fee is $75. The application fee is non-refundable. The late fee is $85.

International Transcript Evaluation Report

To obtain an international transcript evaluation report, you must submit official transcripts from all international high schools, colleges and universities attended to one of the University-approved evaluation agencies listed below (A Detailed Course by Course evaluation report is required):

Once evaluated, the agency you choose must forward their evaluation report directly to the Office of Recruitment and Admissions.

We only accept evaluation reports from the agencies listed above. Do not send your international transcripts to our University. We only require the transcript evaluation report provided by the agency.

Official U.S. College Transcripts:

• You must submit official transcripts from all U.S. colleges and universities attended.
• An official transcript bears the original signature of a school official and/or an official school seal.

Instructions for F-1 Students: If you are transferring to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi from another U.S. institution, you must complete this form in its entirety.

NOTE: Students who enter the U.S. on an A&M-Corpus Christi I-20 do not need to submit this form.

Application Deadlines

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has rolling admissions, however we encourage students to meet the priority deadlines listed below.

Fall Semester - Application Late fee effective - June 1

In addition to applying to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and submitting required documents for an admissions decision, we encourage you to be proactive and do the following. 

• Submit proof of Bacterial Meningitis vaccination (shot record) to admiss@tamucc.edu if you are under the age of 22.
• Review Islander Housing opportunities. TAMU-CC has a first-year residency requirement for student who reside outside of the Coastal Bend and are under the age of 21. 
• Submit TSI test scores or exemptions.
