To qualify for automatic admission, undergraduate applicants must meet the following:
English Proficiency Requirements
Applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency unless they are citizens of one of the exempt countries listed below.
Exempt Countries
Applicants from the following countries are considered English-proficient and are not required to submit English test scores:
American Samoa, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Canada (except Quebec), Cayman Islands, Dominica, Federated States of Micronesia, Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Liberia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, United Kingdom.
How to Demonstrate English Proficiency
If you are not exempt, you may meet the English proficiency requirement by submitting one of the following:

IELTS Academic: Overall band score of 6.0 (TAMU-CC does not accept IELTS General)

Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): Minimum 175

SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW): Minimum 550 (Undergraduate only)

Completion of all four years of U.S. high school and a U.S. high school diploma (Undergraduate only)

Completion of two years of instruction (in English) at a U.S. or Canadian high school or college
