Student Government Association (SGA)
Hello Islanders! My name is Ashley Wingate, and I’m your TAMU-CC Student Body President for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Student Government Association (SGA) is the governing body representing students at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Our goal is to represent your needs and advocate for all students at the Island University.
SGA consists of the Executive Branch, Legislative Branch, and Judicial Branch. Each jurisdiction has its own powers and responsibilities, but they are all run by students working to ensure that every Islander experience is its best. We have weekly public meetings on Mondays at 3:30 PM in RFEB 101. All are welcome to see what we do and how we make an impact on campus! Please visit our I-Engage page for more meeting information.
If you would like to serve in this organization, we would be honored to have you fill out an application! Applications to be a Senator or Associate Justice for 2025-2026 are open on our I-Engage “forms” page!
If you have any questions, SGA is here to help you in any way we can. You can email me at sga.president@tamucc.edu, or visit us in the Student Activities Center located on the second floor of University Center, 218M during regular operation hours.
Shakas up!
