IACUC Meeting Schedule

Protocols reviewed by Designated Member Review (DMR)

Protocols may be eligible for review by a designated IACUC member. Per regulations, all members must have the opportunity to determine whether to review by the full committee. Protocols are sent to all members, and members have five (5) business days to decide whether to review by a designated member review or send to the full board.

After the five (5) business days, and if no member objects to DMR review, then the protocol is sent and reviewed by the assigned member.

Protocols reviewed by Full Committee

Full Committee Reviews generally occur on the first Friday of the month. However, scheduled meetings may be moved or rescheduled.

The agenda and study materials must be provided to the IACUC members in advance of the meeting, with enough time to thoroughly review your study. The agenda closes the Wednesday of the week prior to the meeting (agenda closes date) to give members enough time to review the submission prior to the meeting.

Submissions will not be added to the meeting’s agenda after the agenda closes.

The deadline to submit is a recommended deadline to be placed on that month’s meeting agenda. Protocols are reviewed in the order in which they are received. To avoid delays in the review process, ensure you submit a complete application.
