Get Ready for Graduation!

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – From taking graduation pictures to picking the perfect outfit, preparing for graduation can be an overwhelming experience. With the added challenges of maintaining good grades, sustaining a healthy social life, and polishing your resume; getting ready for graduation may seem like a distant goal. That’s why we’ve put together this simple checklist to help you stay on track.

  1. Meet with your Academic Advisor

Visit your academic advisor to verify you meet all the degree requirements necessary for graduation prior to applying.

  1. Apply for Graduation

Login to your SAIL account and avoid a late fee by applying before Tuesday, Feb. 26. The late graduation application deadline is Thursday, April 11, and will cost you an extra $15.

  1. Stock up on Graduation Regalia

Stop by the Barnes & Noble University Bookstore, located in the University Center, to order your cap and gown. Also celebrate your achievements with a little bling by ordering your class ring. The Islander Ring symbolizes pride, achievement, and university spirit. Purchase yours online or at the Barnes & Noble University Bookstore.

  1. Inform Family and Friends

Those that have supported you along your academic journey will want to share in your joy. Make sure to include them by sending a commencement announcement.

Looking for a one-stop shop for all things Graduation related? Look no further than Grad Fair on March 21. Purchase the Islander Lei, the Islander Ring, t-shirts, announcements, your cap and gown, and more at this fun-filled two-day event.
