If you are currently a registered Distance Learner with the Registrar's Office or designated as a Remote Researcher, you can have books from Bell Library’s Main Collection, and borrowed interlibrary loan materials, shipped directly to your home for free. We also supply a prepaid return label for your convenience. Contact us at ill@tamucc.edu if you are unsure of your Home Delivery Status.
Books available from Bell Library: Once you've signed in to your library account you can request materials directly from Bell Library to be shipped to your home.
Items our library doesn't own, are checked out, or in non-circulating collections: If the item you want isn't available from our library, you can order it through interlibrary loan and we'll ship it to you once it arrives.
Delivery Time: 4-7 days average
As a registered Distance Learner or Remote Researcher, you can choose to have a TexShare Card mailed to your home allowing you to check materials from over 1,000 Texas libraries free of charge.
On Campus? Come by the Bell Library Circulation Desk and we'll issue you a TexShare Card while you're here.
Qualifications
You must be an current TAMU-CC students in a TAMUCC program, faculty, or staff in good standing with the University.
You must currently reside within the contiguous United States to receive loans as a Distance Learner or Remote Researcher.
Responsibilities
You are responsible for loaned materials from the time they leave Bell Library until the time of their return.
You are responsible for returning items by their due dates.
Accessibility & Alternate Formats
In some cases, audio, large-print, e-books, or Braille versions may be available through Interlibrary Loan. For assistance in requesting alternate formats, please contact the Interlibrary Loan department ill@tamucc.edu (361-825-5772).
All our articles, databases, and journals are accessible anywhere with wifi service. But, you have to sign-in with your IslandID first. Don't worry, if you're not already signed in, there will be prompts along the way.

Scans from Bell Library’s collection are limited to 50 pages or less, exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
One article or chapter is allowed per request form.
We cannot scan chapters from books you have checked out or on hold.
There is no rush processing available for the service.
When requesting scans, you are responsible for adhering to copyright law.
Accessibility
OCR is applied to scans supplied from Bell Library print collections.
Bell Library accommodates ADA scanning requests for print materials for TAMU-CC students who have registered with Disability Services. Please contact Disability Services (361-825-5816) directly for this service.
