Venues

The University Center is the place where great events and cherished memories begin.  Located along the island greenbelt that welcomes the Oso Bay, the University Center offers two divisible grand ballrooms, boardrooms, ten multi-purpose event rooms, and beautiful outdoor plazas.

The University Center is professionally staffed and includes equipment and services such as in-house audio-visual equipment, dance floors, stages, pipe and drape, and technical assistance.

The Rotunda, located within the University Center, includes the Cove dining court that includes fresh, house-made fare and nationally branded concepts such as Chick-Fil-A and Panda Express.  Retail outlets in the Rotunda include the Campus Store that hosts apparel, Islander gear, and gifts. The Island Market convenience store offers grab and go beverages, snacks, and travel-sized health products.

The Performing Arts Center is home to a world class concert hall that features a 1350 seat performance auditorium. The Performing Arts Center lobby offers a striking 50-foot glass wall facing Ocean drive that offers a beautiful view of the Corpus Christi bay and the downtown skyline.  The concert hall is equipped with a house sound system, a permanent-fixed repertory lighting plot, and a green room.

The Performing Arts Center is professionally staffed and includes equipment and services such as audio-visual capabilities, risers, pipe and drape, podium, a Steinway concert grand piano, and professional technical staff, ushers, and more.

The Jack and Susie Dugan Wellness Center is the home of the Dugan Gymnasium that features two NCAA sized basketball courts, six drop down baskets, bleacher seating for 1200, a video board and scoreboards.

The University Pool is under the supervision and scheduling of the Dugan Wellness Center.  The outdoor pool that measures 25 meters in length and eight lanes in width is adjacent to the wellness center. 

The Dugan Wellness Center is professionally staffed and offers equipment such as a portable public announcement system, pipe and drape, and a stage. 

The Chapman baseball and softball fields feature professionally maintained natural grass fields, bullpens, and press box. The Chapman softball field includes bleacher seating for up to 200 spectators. The Chapman Baseball field includes bleacher seating for up to 300 spectators and eight lighting banks for evening play.

Chapman Fields are professionally staffed and offer equipment such as a public announcement system and scoreboards.

The Dr. Jack Dugan Family Soccer & Track Stadium, located on the Momentum campus, features an artificial turf soccer field, an eight-lane track, three sand volleyball courts, a cross-country track, press box, bleacher seating for up to 700 spectators, and four lighting banks for evening soccer games.

The Dugan Soccer & Track stadium is professionally staffed and offers equipment such as public announcement system, scoreboards, and more.

Just under 3k, the 1.7 mile Hike & Bike Trail serves as the walk/run trail for fitness enthusiasts.  Its location makes it perfect for nature enthusiasts, explorers or those who love a beautiful sunrise and sunset.

The lighted trail is nestled along the perimeter of Ward Island and Oso Bay, which makes for an ideal place for jogging, rollerblading, or taking a stroll. Palapas provide shaded rest stops along the trail to relax and enjoy picturesque views of the Oso Bay.

The newly renovated fields, located on the Momentum Campus, features artificial turf and can be configured to accommodate a number of sports and events such as flag football and soccer.  Lighting banks are available for evening play.  

Recreational sports fields are professionally staffed.

The Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center is professionally staffed and features 12 courts painted in a U.S. Open style, bleacher seating for up to 200 and hosts 12 lighting banks for evening play.

The Island campus features educational venues including Bay Hall, Center for Instruction, Center for the Sciences, Island Hall, the Michael and Karen O'Connor Building, and the Robert Furguson Engineering Building. 

Educational venue spaces include fixed seating, computer/projector(s) and screens. Larger, stadium-style spaces include lavaliers and sound systems in addition to computer/projector(s) and drop-down screens.
