Accessibility Exception Request
Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi must consider the accessibility of all electronic and information resources (EIR) we purchase, maintain, develop, and use, per Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 213. When Electronic and Information Resources (EIRs) are determined to be non-compliant with accessibility standards and guidelines, the university must decide if the risk of procuring the IT is justified. IT exceptions to accessibility compliance must be documented.
This exception process is quite common across federal and state agencies and institutions.
