Effective Communication

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), effective communication means that communication with people with disabilities must be as clear and understandable as communication with people without disabilities. This includes both receiving and conveying information:

  • Social media posts
  • Websites and mobile apps
  • Emails and digital messages
  • Course materials and syllabi
  • Videos and audio recordings
  • Live presentations and meetings
  • Digital event flyers and announcements
