University Budget Advisory Committee

Purpose/Function: The University Budget Advisory Committee provides President’s Cabinet with ongoing advice and recommendations related to budget efficiencies, planning, and assessment. The committee is comprised of faculty, staff, students, and administrators and aims to assist the university in achieving and communicating its strategic goals. The committee meets quarterly and may hold additional meetings as needed.

Membership: The University Budget Advisory Committee accepts nominations for potential committee members from across campus, including self-nominations and nominations from Faculty Advisory Council and Staff Council. Following the nomination period, the co-chairs shall make appointments to the committee.

The committee will be co-chaired by the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Assistant Vice President and Chief Budget Officer. The appointed faculty and staff members of the committee will serve renewable 3-year terms and consist of five (5) faculty members, seven (7) staff members , one (1) academic unit dean/director, one (1) academic department chair. One (1) appointed representative each from Staff Council and Faculty Advisory Council will serve a renewable 1-year term. One (1) student representative from the Student Fee Advisory Committee will be appointed to serve a renewable 1-year term. The following individuals will serve as voting ex-officio members of the committee: the Executive Director for Planning, Analytics, Institutional Research, and Strategic Initiatives and Chief Data Officer, and the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Excellence.
