Undergraduate Admissions Committee

Purpose or Function: The Undergraduate Admissions Committee reviews the applications of undergraduate applicants who do not meet the university’s regular admission criteria but who qualify for consideration under the Alternative Admission process. Based on the review, the committee makes recommendations on the application decision In addition, the committee reviews undergraduate admissions guidelines and makes recommendations at the institutional or system level, as appropriate.

Membership:  The committee includes: The Director of Admissions Processing (Chair), the Vice President for Enrollment Management, and the Associate Vice President for Student Success, the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Director of Graduate Admissions, and the Director of Transfer/International Outreach as standing, ex-officio members. The chair will have voting rights, but the other ex-officio members will not vote. Appointed members of the committee include: one (1) representative from each of the following areas: faculty from each academic college/school appointed by the dean/director, Academic Advising and Coaching, and Athletic Academic Services. All appointed faculty and staff representatives serve two-year renewable terms.
