International Education Committee

Purpose or Function: International Education Committee shall serve in an advisory role to support the enrollment, engagement, and retention of international students and scholars. The committee will engage stakeholders across the university to share the international student experience from recruitment through post-completion Optional Practical Training to foster holistic success. The committee will promote the educational mission of the university, especially as it relates to the university's strategic plan.

Membership: The main criteria for participation in the International Education Committee shall be that each unit and its representative demonstrate a genuine interest in the internationalization of the campus. The committee includes, one (1) appointed representative from each of the following units: Student Government Association (International Senator), Student Success, Mary and Jeff Bell Library, and a faculty member from each academic college/school to be appointed by the dean/director. Faculty and staff members will serve two-year staggered, renewable terms. Student members will serve one-year renewable terms. The Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management, Associate Provost, Associate Dean of Students for International Student Programs and Support, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs-University Registrar, and Director of International Admissions serve as voting ex-officio members. Designees may be appointed for ex-officio members.
