Student Government Association
Purpose or Function: The Student Government Association (SGA) is a student-run, campus-wide organization that provides students with a voice in the decision-making process of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC). SGA members are the link between students and the TAMU-CC administration. Students are encouraged to bring their opinions, criticisms, and expectations to SGA's attention to further promote a student-friendly environment, while upholding the overall welfare of the student body.
Membership: Annually elected positions include President, Vice-President, Senators, and Representatives. To serve in SGA, a student must be enrolled at the university and maintain a GPA of 2.5. The membership list only includes the Student Government Executive Board and Advisor (non-voting ex-officio member).
Presiding Officer: President of Student Government (elected by the student body)
Responsible University Official: Vice President for Student Engagement and Success and Intercollegiate Athletics
